How would you describe your teaching style?
I start slow to open up the body intelligently — intention, breath, joint work, flow through a series of asanas with repetition to help the body go deeper, lead up to a peak pose and then finish with a delicious restorative Savasana! Plus lots of hands on adjustments.
Silence or music during the class?
Music! It affects the mood and sets the tone for the entire class. I play whatever inspires me at the moment and what theme I am working on. You can expect anything from Philip Glass to Lady Gaga.
Which posture helps you “Go Deep?”
Savasana. It reminds me what the point of the practice is — finding stillness in the mind to the best of our abilities.
